vent vent...

Time: 10:54am
Location: library.

just after an excruciating boring int3055 class... Global Disasters... like my life... disater indeed. Mark Peel, my lecturer talked about the eruption of Krakatoa 1883 and what came out of it and subsequently compared to the 2004 Asian Tsunami, how it affected and what people got out of it... which got me thinking.

Mt. Krakatoa is so misunderstood.

Yea, story of a volcano's life... She can be an eyesore for those who do not appreciate the passionate magma that runs beneath her... Despite being seen as an acne runining the beautiful landscape in Java, she is lucky indeed, to have a small group of brave souls who took the initiative to know her.

The thing is Krakatoa is very emotional... and she knows it.

Her mood is easily affected by the Eurasian Plate and the Indo-Australian Plate... among other reasons. It's just that Krakatoa is still a very young volcano, she doesn't know any better. Sometimes she just couldn't manage her emotional baggage better, especially when she's being pressured by the tectonic plates... and when these stuff bottleneck, they translate to her actions.

so, sometimes, She Vents.

Sometimes it's strombolian eruptions and if you're unlucky enough, you'll catch her having one of the many cataclysmic eruptions. Evidently, these eruptions are not without consequences. Not only will they burn bridges, they may also ruin the trusting relationships and trust that people have in her.

... So... please do bear with her. Talk to her if you have any opinions about her, not of her. She might seem like a fossil with a hard head, she does value constructive observations from the group of people whom she adore and trust... She, can change. Compromisation can be achieved without compromising her authentic character. Everyone knows that a mellowed volcano will not be considered as a volcano anymore, but a plain ol mountain without passion.

Though in retrospect, she could've chosen a less destructive way to vent about the pressure that she's under, do know that putting a clog over her mouth is never a way to prevent eruptions... or any other volcano's eruptions for that matter. Sure, some outbreaks and meltdowns are bound happen again in the near future... do know that she mean no harm.

Afterall, she's just a simple little volcano who doesn't know any better.
