Facts of Life - if everything fails, fix your teeth.

Location: some computer lab in level 4.

Here's something that caught my eye when I was slacking about.

Ok, so it's no surprise that beautiful people live a cozier life, they get by in the fast lane, even the plain water taste sweeter in their lives....

ANYWAYS, here's something for you to sleep on. Do people with nice teeth earn MORE?

The Economics of Teeth, and Other Beauty Premiums

.... Just over a decade ago Dr. Hamermesh presided over a series of surveys in the United States and Canada which showed that when all other things are taken into account, ugly people earn less than average incomes, while beautiful people earn more than the average. The ugliness “penalty” for men was -9 percent while the beauty premium was +5 percent. For women, perhaps surprisingly considering popular prejudices about the sexes, the effect was less: the ugliness penalty was -6 percent while the beauty premium was +4 percent.

Yea, scroll down to read the end of the link for the punch line..

it reminded me about the email that Sze Vien sent me that day... regarding a guy from Singapore who's name is Batman. If it's not bad enough, his dad's name is Suparman.

Come to think of it, having a Pitt, or Trump, or Bush as a last name's gona have its perks~

*Updated

On a totally unrelated note, this headline made me cracked up in this very very very quiet computer lab. Yup, those are the stares, the judgmental stares from young adolescence who had barely reached puberty.

VERY MATURE DUDES...

Curriculum Designed to Unite Art and Science

By NATALIE ANGIER

The battle between the sciences and the humanities has been going on for so long, its early participants are already dead.

I'm not sure if it's the fact that I'm an art student or the fact that it's so blunt and true at the same time... It's Farny.
