Just one of those things.

I always feel like that one or two days before going back to Sunway. I'll be going back with a heavy heart and a 5-fan-equipped CPU overflowing with sentimental value.

Location: @home, Ipoh.

Yup, like what is on my msn message, I AM drooling on my bro's pc. Boy, the speakers are RaWking! So much better than my RM 45 Altec Lansing that Tzu Ying, my ex-roommate went in and out, searched high and low in Pyramid and managed to snatch them at the cheapest price available there.

So, especially with bro gone, i feel like a vicious vulture herself, hovering over his very 'high-tech' desktop (coz almost all the parts inside has been changed, hell he even changed the cover/shell of the cpu) with all the parts he carefully selected and put together.

Yup, that definitely made me feel even worse using his pc and leaving Ipoh, although I'll be back some time soon.

But strangely, every time I'm in Ipoh, I feel as though I'm on vacation, seriously, like I can't get anything done. I just feel like slacking around. So in other words, being in Ipoh is kinda bad for my study.

Anyhoo, I bathed pipi twice this week. Haha, poor guy. Who ask him to stink so fast. He's damn adorable when I'm bathing him.

Anyways, back to packing!

Aww... I don't feel like going back... Why must I ??!!!

This Song told me WHY....

This is not the original Video though.

Movie Trunk Tenacious D's Pick Of Destiny.

Location: B12.3A, Sunway, Malaysia.

After watching the Pick of Destiny by non other than Tenacious D. It's really cheap film to produce actually. They don't need much material coz the characters are already really vibrant and amusing. After some really crappy craps I am able to link all the songs I have heard by them so far and that's pretty cool

What's cooler is I was able to understand what Tribute, their really famous song is all about.

Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hh1uqa2keFQ

It's a tribute to the self proclaimed 'greatest song in the world'. What made it funny was it's not the 'greatest song' in the world, it's the tribute coz they 'couldn't remember'.

I was totally stunned to realise that what Tenacious D referred to as 'shiny demon' which shines was someone famous that I know... and more than often, heard of.

This Ugly, really disgusting looking 'demon'.

Ok, it's not personal but dude, the horn thing is not that 'hot' nowadays. Not only to say it's not working on you.

Hey, it does not pay to say the truth! So do you know who the shiny demon is?

Yes, Do You Know? Try Guessing Harder Now Maybe?

Another Shot at it?

Fine, I'll Spill already!!

Can You See it Now?

See The Resemblance?

Yes, I was Stunned too.

Lost Notebook.

Location: @Home, Ipoh.

There's this auntie friend of my parents lost her notebook today.

She was with her family of 3 in Ipoh Parade's Kopitiam Junction (opposite Starbucks) - at the entrance opposite Sam tet and next to Main Convent (sorry if I am too specific) - when someone changed her notebook bag (black) - from a bag containing notebook with an empty one.

Since when has Ipoh turned into KL?

I mean, when I left KL, things were fine. The butterflies were frolicking among the colourful flowers and bees were all heading their busy lives...

I drove to the Club today.

Location: @home, Ipoh.

Ok, to be fair, it's not my first time driving to the club (by club I mean Ipoh Swimming Club, the website is not very glam I know) but it is my first time driving there just to work out in the gym. And Yes, I don't remember the last time that I ever worked out, just today, I happened to wake up in Ipoh EARLY (8am IS early) in the morning.

I went, barge in, forgot my Junior membership number but luckily I remembered my parents' so I went in at 8:20am and checked out at 9:15am, barely an hour.

The first thing I noticed when I went in was The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus's Face Down was on, I was like, WHOA~ so cool, coz I saw many aunty, i mean OLD aunties and some really fit uncles. Then through the reflection of the see through glass (I have super power) I SAW A TV.

Since when ISC's gym has MTV?!

COOL!

OH, I tried the treadmill for 15 minutes, and a treadmill-ish walking machine thingy for 10 minutes. I totally felt like dying there! I didn't actually tried too hard to get my heart-rate to the fat burning zone. With the hyper tyriod, I AM constantly in fat burning zone already. The reason that my slim down's insignificant AT ALL is because my input's kinda, just kind of high too.

So with a little hopping, a lot of walking and running for about 1 minute (out of the total 15) I'm almost always on the cardiac training zone, quite high actually for a normal yijun's workout.

I used to worked my ass out to get to the cardiac training zone.

Ok, there's this Beckam guy worth mentioning. I forgot the exact spelling of his name, this is actually the second time I saw him in the gym in the 3 years he has been working in ISC. haha. He's... big. for those who have seen my hands, mine + mine + half of mine = HIS. scary actually.

After my fruitful workout, I headed for that famous nasi lemak (which I last check was RM 0.60, in other words, nasi lemak which taste as good and cheap is close to extinct in Ipoh, let alone Malaysia) near Gunung Rapat. Maybe it's Puasa month for malays, that kind hearted auntie's really nice nasi lemak stall is NOT THERE. Disappointed i AM...

What have all the tasty-cheap Nasi Lemak gone?!

Night In Pasar Malam.

Location: @Home, Ipoh.

Today I had the longest msn conversation (till date) with bro. He totally pissed me off (not in a totally bad way).

What did he do you say?

He commented that this dog (Fujii, Minni's baby) is afraid of me. Like WTH?!

Can't you see in Fujii's beady eyes that he enjoyed my company?

And then, he sent me This.

Knowing that I don't have a credit card (like he does) and I LURVE British's stuff (Mainly Hugh Grant and his totally HOT accent. I don't normally like droopy eyes but HEY, look at him! It works for him!!)

It's like the photo of LOOKING at this Dorothy Perkins outlet isn't tempting enough, he HAD to get the 50% sign!! like the Chinese old proverb goes "can see cannot eat"!! It's literally 'so near yet so far'... both physically and economically.

Then He was so excited when he showed me this.

HAHA! Like ANYONE care. Well, apparently he did. Just because of the word "Berry" reminds him of his Berryz Koubou. His craze lead many of his friends (mainly Winfred) and family members (me) to think he's a sorta... well... pedophile.

I still couldn't believe that the UK version of Hello Project is THIS... SAD.

Hmmm... Difference in culture indeed.

And So, he asked me to wait as he has something for me. I prayed and prayed and even crossed my fingers (plus toes) to hope it's a gorgeous ZARA gown from him. Then out of the blue, he sent me this picture. Literally.

I WAS SO TRILLED! Thought he's gona give me a car this next year!! then HE just had to dampen my hopes. He was actually just trying to show me the pictures he took during his London trip.

Being me, I expressed my disappointment. Then he said maybe he'll give me this for my birthday next year.

LIKE I'M HAVING SO MANY CHILDREN WOR. Duh. and even so, I'm SO not driving this if we (my family) were going anywhere at all. License or no license.

And that smart guy sent me this. Double Duh!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

And so, I needed a rebuttal.

So what if you're totally surrounded by all the heavenly branded bags and clothings that I so deeply yearned and worshiped.

I'll have to take something that even you didn't realize how much you DESIRE (on the inside) so much so that you'll so totally regret for tempting me with Dorothy Perkins and that really cute blue car (though it's even cuter in bright hot pink) that I'll be dreaming for a few days now!!

(on a not related topic, I smell a loving bond/trend of conversation between you and me~)

Anyways, it's Monday. And Monday at Home is.......

*drum roll*

Yes, it is Pasar Malam DAY!
(I didn't miss more than 10 Pasar Malam Day when I was still stuck in Ipoh.)

I just realized that it's actually saddening to walk alone (mommy and daddy went to Sungai Besar)... with so many people judging what I wore and NOT judging them back without anyone beside me. And it is weird to be walking walking walking - take picture - then walk - take pic... those unforgiving eyes... Judging.

Anyhoo...

There's This.

Home-made Ice-cream~~
(Mommy said it's made of glue)

And this...

(lantern festival aka Mid-Autumn's Festival)

and this... Sorry... This picture is not Sher Yen friendly.

...THEN THEY HAVE...

AW.... Fried PRAWNY!!

*Laugh* *Laugh*

AWW...Fried Sotong!!!

*Evil Pointing Smile*

*MAw-HAw*

~~ Dreamy Fried Sotong that you don't have there ~~

*Evil Pointing Laughter*

pp/s: Bro, how did the leng lui selling the Fried Sotong knew you went to UK? I went to buy the fried sotong today, she offered me the RM2 packet but gosh, like enough meh, I told her that my bro always order RM 4 ones. She's like: "that specky guy who went to UK?"

I was like: "yeah..." and trailed into a web of confusion while i was giving her the raised brow expression.

p/s: If you don't already know 'Buck' (he gave me this impression that the whole world has seen him on youtube before) There was this fuzz surrounding the VMA about Britney's horrible horrible performance for the opening. And so I stumbled upon 'What The Buck' Show. It's CoooooL!

oh no.

Location: @Home, Ipoh.

INT? what int?

I Cooked!!

Location: @home, Ipoh.

Raining

I'm so happy to be able to download Limewire Pro and was actually trying my luck when I downloaded Ad-Aware Pro cracked version. No thanks to my non-helping bro.

Raining

So, after I had that very unsuccessfully horrible attempt making a chinese vegetable like soup for bro before he went to uk, I decided to do it again, today. Lucky for me, with many many pointers from grams and mom, I finally did it!

Raining

I made edible stuff out of raw ingredients!!

Raining

Yes, YES. I'm proud.

I did what mommy said:

1. buy the vege (in cantonese-old yellow gourd aka main ingredient), pig's bone (for the soup to taste sweet), dates and some herbs i have some hard time translating.

2. boil the water (if meant for 4 people, put 5 boils of water).

3. cut the vege into pieces, clean the pork bone, dates and the herbs I have some hard time translating while the water is boiling.

4. if you're planning to use a slow/pressure cooker, make sure you transfer the boiling water into the cooker first. Turn it to high.

5. and one go, put the pork, vege and dates into the boiling water.

6. don't forget to put the cover on and wait.

7. After 3 hours, put that herbs I have hard time translating into the pot. Put some salt and sugar to enhance the taste.

8. VOiLA~ The soup is served.

Weird Al Yankovic.

Location: @home, Ipoh.

You think Queen's Another Bites the Dust is cool?

Watch this!

Weird Al Yankovic's Another One Rides the Bus.

Well, everyone has to start somewhere.

p/s: Reminds me of how much I loved Ghost Busters~ And E.T.

Then came the very controversial 'You're Beautiful' by James Blunt. Man that song was damn nice & catchy at the beginning. Then there comes a time where EVERYONE loves it (like Now, Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry) and you can hear this freaking tune everywhere, it'll start to get on your nerves. THEN, comes the Malays translation. MY GAWD.

They translate EVERYTHING. Like the theme song for Winter Sonata... totally RUINED. Couple with a lot of bad memories with the song on the whole time, Yup. This song has topped my hate-list.

I laughed until I almost cried because the lyrics resonates SO MUCH of the buried emotions inside me. The words I wanted to say but couldn't because I didn't know how to express it until Weird Al Yankovic's You're Pitiful came along. WAY CooL!

I felt so relieved.

waiting for my ride back to Ipoh.

Location: B12.3A, Sunway, Malaysia.

I'm watching That 70's Show, kind of enjoy everyone trying to burn everyone. There's this episode, Season 4, Episode 8, totally Racist!!

I was so stressed that day, and this is what I found in the toilet. It's god's sign of tell me god cares.

The American tv always promote that sexual discrimination happens in the 70's, in other words, trying to say that they're not racist today.

The Sign.

Anyways, waiting for my parents to come and pick me up!! I know I'm up to a week end of blabbering/nagging... oopps, I meant good advise from my parents on the incident of me accidentally leaving the handphone in the library and dear Azra called my parents all the way in UK.

Closer. Smiley.

Boy, I can't wait to see how much that cost in my phone bill this month. My mom's gona be highlighting them anyways.

I'm wearing my Skirt. I like this pic.

Boy... Can't Wait...

Smashing Pumpkins (1)

Location: Computer Lab, Level 5, Monash Sunway University, Malaysia.

I just got my
JRN Ass 2 back. Happy to get it back, frustrated caused I did something that I shouldn't and got pinalized. Boy that cost me. Took some picture as prove of my carelessness and atop every thing, my stupidity of screwing the most fundamentally 'unscrewable' stuff.

Reminds me of the time that Wan Ye, a friend of mine screwed up additional maths in form 4. If not mistaken, the question was very complicated, she whisked through it like cat woman. Slick,
Carefull and Precise. But if not mistaken, she did the last working wrong due to lack of time and that cost her.

The Question we later found out was

"4+2 = 12"

or something really similar.

If it wasn't for that, she'd get 100. The perfect score.

Anyways, I'll elaborate my yet another adventure of my brainless mind in another entry. That requires photo editing and I'm lazy now.

As you guys know, we're born of the era of
boybands, girl bands, punk bands, rock bands, emo bands, punk rock emo bands... We missed out all the good stuff. All the milestone of music industry. (I remember seeing 'Nirvanaism' somewhere... I came to know the existence of Nirvana after Kurt Cobain's tragic death) We missed PUSA, we missed Verve Pipe's era, Oasis's prime, U2, Sting and one of the few controversial bands that took the world by storm,

Smashing Pumpkins.

I stumbled upon Smashing Pumpkins last year when I accidentally downloaded the
mtv,
Bullet with Butterfly Wings. Hell, part of the reason I shifted from blog.com to blogger.com was
coz you can't embed stuff from Youtube to your entries. It's so agonizingly torturing to watch all these kick ass mtv of Smashing Pumpkins and NOT able to post it in my blog.

SP's Bullet with Butterfly Wings.

I was all excited and jumping until I realise that they were on some sorta hiatus or maybe even at the verge of splitting up as a band (and that Billy
Corgan was cuter at the beginning of Smashing Pumpkins, you know, with hair) that I felt so depressed and maybe even asked god why was I born so late.

They released an album this year, July 10,
Biro's birthday, AFTER 6-7 years of hibernation FINALLY!! They gave what their LONG LOYAL Fans so candy to indulge on. I've never bought any CDs with a Tulen sticker on the cover not since the last 'N SYNC album, Celebrity. I bought Smashing Pumpkins' Zeitgeist without having much thought.

It's like *snap* RM 45 spent.

Hell the album's so great that wikipedia has an entry SPECIALLY for that album.

But then I realised it's not as great as I expected. Maybe I set my hopes too high coz they're considered as ground-breakingly legendary if there is such a thing call music museum. And this is like a comeback of a LEGEND after 7 years. This should be great... right?

Their 'Doomsday Clock' appeared in the popular Transformers in the big screens but their first single released from this album was Tarantula. Wikipedia used 'psychedelic' to decribe the mtv. It is psychedelic alright. It is ok to be 'psychedelic' in That 70's Show... but for a rock, I mean HARD rock band like Smashing Pumpkins (IMO) the mtv is a little.. how to say to not sound bad... gay-ish or rather, campy.

Well, needless to say I was a teeny bit disappointed. I can't help but wonder,

What happened to the magic in 1979?

And the seductive element in Disarm?

And the wonderful heart-melting tunes of Tonight, Tonight?

Have you actually heard the lyrics of Tarantula?

The more I listen to SP's Tarantula, the more I suspect that they were on high while writing this song.

# Don’t break this oath!
I want to love you when you’re happy,
Don’t break this oath!
I want to be there when you’re sad,
Freeze-frame the pouring rain.#

.... and...

#We are the real, as real as any ghost,
So easy now,
We are the real, in every living soul
Oh don't they know#

... and...

#If it’s a white hot soul they want
then a black heart they’ll get. #

I'm sorry that I'm not that good in deriving meaning from this piece of art. It all seemed unconnected! I kind of understand what Billy Corgan was trying to say but it's REALLY vague The music's hot I admit, just not the lyrics.

The only song that I like (and can make much sense out of) is That's the Way (My Love Is)

Atleast the song actually felt 'Zeitgeist', it's the whole point of this album right?

To let people know that SMASHING PUMPKINS are BACK!!

p/s: this is kinda scary, the MTV I mean, Weird Al
Yankovic - The Alternative Polka.
It is supposed to be funny...

Lies... I Think I Lost My Mojo.

Location: B12.3A, Sunway, Malaysia.

Have you ever wondered what you've changed comparing the now-elegant/macho-smart self to your primitively ugly form about 10-20 years ago?

For me, I've evolved indeed. My prime was in Form 3-5. Boy how time flies...

Anyway, the issue is I think this highly mediated world, couple with the factor that I'm staying in this glorious countries, which encourages spoon-feeding educational system.

Blue Pills.

Like Betty Curse's "The Look on Tony's Face", "We're a race of magazines, hoola-hoops and beauty queens". It's like we're SO engrossed in this CODE thing, trying or rather being brainwash to fit in into this world.

Everybody Lies.

No offense but there are tons of examples out there like Einstein, he's not much of a normal social and mediated person and he became so successful. It's not like there's no other media in his era, like radio and 'zines' (McLaughlin, n.d., pp. 52-76). And what about Bill Gates? He dropped out of school, got really geeky (no offense) and see where he is now? There's HP, Dell and hell even Johnny Depp looked really anti-social.
But some went with the flow, by manipulating people's fragile minds, they made something our of themselves. Like many many many politicians out there who basically thrives on lies and Disney channel. For crying out loud, everyone knows true love is dead. Although Kim Possible is totally cool and all, it is just impossible for any sparks to even exist between her and Ron Stoppable.
The Ancient Symbol Representing Liars.

Anyways, the point I'm putting forward is I've changed from a little innocent master of LIES into a dumb soon-to-be adult who always come up with unconvincing excuses! And that's not cute anymore. I'm way too old for Cosby's 'Kid's Say the Darnest Things'. I think that show's really crap. But hey, it works for millions of parents out there and made Cosby rich. I don't mind that at all.

Anti-Government Stuff. *Yawn*
Cool Montage Though

Just yesterday, I was confronted by a lecturer who's kind enough to ask me to see him to explain why I hand in the assignments way late. I HAD to bring my bro into the conversation when I have a WAY BETTER reason! Which is both true. It's just a matter of preference and stupid quick judgment. Between the sad teary Goiter story I just had to say the less convincing story!

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire.

I'm dumb I tell you. I feel like smacking myself after the words just flowed out of my stupid mouth without going through my brain. Like those people taking the alternative routes to KL avoiding tolls.

I remember that I used to be this really innocent looking conniving little brat in the older days. I got plenty of practices at home but mom, dad and bro always manage to see through my web of lies.

Revenge?

I was so promising when I went to secondary school. I lied A LOT and the teachers believed me and hence, many things came my way. Hey, lying is hard work ok? It's not much of a struggle between my conscience and morality, it's more of the variety of lies that I have to come up with. All those practices from my very warm and cozy home paid off well then.

And so I came to the university. Something bad happened. I think I'm getting more and more honest. It's like the honesty cells in me is finally trying to take over my body or maybe I just caught some truth-blabbing bacterial from the society today.

What is worse than a house of Cards?
A Burning House of Cards.

It's NOT good to always tell the truth. I'm still very capable of little white lies, just not the major ones like complimenting when I strongly disagree, I just simply divert the attention and NOT answer questions like that. Sometimes I accidentally did it too unsubtly and that normally triggers a larger series of negative reactions.

And another thing is that I lost my excellent judgmental skills and always shooting everything other than the bullseye. I suck in summarizing stuff. Like during the secondary school time, I did all the English and Malay summaries by remembering the format and not actually understanding the meaning behind the long winded essay.

Hope They Taught Me That in School.

And see where it got me today. I'm still putting the blame on today's educational system and those no good after school specials. FeIt made me do stuff not because I wanted to but because that's what I'm taught to do.

I reacted like I'm supposed to, like I'm programmed to. And that alone made me look more of a robot compared to Bender from Futurama.

I *Heart* Bender.

p/s: you wouldn't believe how many pictures that people created to show that 'Bush Lies' when I typed 'Lies' on google image. LoL, I feel that imagined community theory reiterated so many times by the lecturers in the uni FIRST HAND. Internet is cool.
