Weather Report Again.

Location: Comp Room, Howitt.

Time: 3:33am.

It actually feels good to have a long long post-dinner chat again with Ben, Kane and Davyn. talking about anything and everything under the moon... Haven't been doing this for a really long time and we had to find the most inappropriate time to do stuff like these... by inappropriate I meant days before exams and time I meant from 11-2ish, 3am. I guess the whole fun of this is not make it a routine? spontaneity does contribute in making these talking sessions hard to come by... especially these days without Chieh Ai, Gracia, Iggy and Zax around... Although it's been quite some time since they moved out, the unusual attachment still persist.

Maybe it's coz we're in Australia or maybe it's the magic of Howitt Hall... it's hard to get a groups of individuals as crazily different as such that speak the same language in similar frequencies.

Anyway, I realized yesterday that I will be leaving in 2 weeks, and one month from now, I'll be home in Ipoh.

TWO freaking weeks man... like... seriously... It feels... surreal. It's not like staying in Condo... It's impossible to hop on a bus and get there in less than 2 hours... I can't do what I did on holding on to the apartment as long as I could. plus, I've never actually grown so attached to someone, let alone a whole group of people, other than my pig... Even with pig, we are fully aware that we are both functioning individuals leading different lives... we don't eat together, study together, play sports and stuff...

Maybe I should start the whole process of withdrawal so that I don't have to go through that later?

Getting too used to having them around might not be too healthy for me... hmmm... I don't know what I'm rambling on about... what intitally inspired me to blog was the crazy weather that started with a warm morning, followed by a windy afternoon, and again, warm (near malaysian's weather) evening. Then out of a sudden, a huge ass storm which was accompanied by hails, which also appeared out of nowhere around 10 at night... With a grand finale of a clear dark sky, and a bright, dark yellow moon hanging on top of Farrer Hall at 3 in the morning...

Seriously, melbourne's weather is crazy man...

- or it's just Iggy's sudden act of kindness today that startled *apparently* not only Kane and I, the weather was surprised tooo... hence the acting out... - lol, we're not complaining Iggy... thanks for the messages, sandwiches and OJs. we were just a little... surprised, that's all. lol.

- I took this before the batteries died on me,
during our 'talk' on tenth floor's kitchen -
yes, I do take pics of myself when u guys weren't looking. lol.
p/s: I am feeling so lonely without my weekly doses of Glee, How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, Dexter, 30 Rock, American Dad, Eastwick, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, House, Psych, Big Bang Theory and the Mentalist... Luckily there was Greek and NCIS to get me by... Seeing the desperateness of my situation, I might even start watching Vampire Diaries... YER... and yea, do you think that I should get a hair cut?

Annoying song.

Location: Matheson Lib, Clayton.
Time: 6:36pm.

OMGGG... Starstruck by 3OH!3 is officially bugging me.

The more I try to run away from it the more I hear it on the radio. Like seriously...

I don't hate the WHOLE song, just this particular verse of the song...

Tight jeans, double d's makin' me go (whistles),
All the people on the street know (whistles),
Iced out, lit-up make the kids go (whistles),
All the people on the street know (whistles),

... annoying. The sad part is, I actually quite like the rhythm. The whole whistling part just make this song unbearable.

out with the locust, in with the mice...

Location: Matheson Lib, Clayton
Time: 10:45pm

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this...

so, after the 1992 election in Fiji, Rabuka made his submission to Ganilau (the son to the very GG that he didn't NOT help in ousting in 1987...) suggested to import Chinese labor to work on cane farms vacated by Indo-Fijians tenant farmers (Indo-Fijians are basically second generation onwards of Indians labors brought in by the Brits in 1887, borned in Fiji...) -- (Brij V. Lal, 1992, p.318)

The whole point of 1987 coups was because of the Indians in Fiji coming into power... now they want to bring in the Chinese? What makes him think that the Chinese will be politically impartial? .... It just shows how greed for power can vacillate someone's rational thoughts.

*updated@ 11:10pm*

ZOMG... it's not bad enough that M'sia 'improved' their own country by ethnic "categorization"... they even INFLUENCED Fiji in excluding the minorities (or rather, non-majorities. Can't actually call them minorities coz as a collective, they constitute more than 40 percent of Fiji's population).

read this:
"Indo-Fijians were to be completely excluded from participation in national politics. Following the Malaysian example, the council wanted Fijians to be given fixed shares in all business ventures in the country...".
(Lal, 1992, p.288)

and this is just the economic sector.
wow, the son's outdone the daddy! Well atleast the Son's an authentic first settler in Fiji since more than 3500 years ago... unlike the daddy... *ahem*.... claimed... *ahem* ...self-proclaimed... hmm...

Come Out and Play...

Location: ECMS, Clayton
Time: 2:15pm.

yesh, now I'm invading here during daytime now...

I don't know what's wrong with me. My brain's so scattered... whenever I sit down to think... to work... My brain flies away... hmm...

and I can't stop using the word 'play' in my essays.

"the ideas of Vanua, Lotu, and Matanitu played important roles within the Fijian communities..."

"Rabuka played on the ideas of ethnonationalism while combining Christianity to resonate the fears and insecurity among the indigenous Fijians..."

What's with that man?!! Is my brain trying to subliminally request a day off to play????

my gawd... the assignments are killing me...

p/s: Happy belated to bday Ben Ben, Amanda, Sook Zane, and Khuang Han... you peeeps are OLD~~ what are the odds of being born on the same day huh?

pp/s: never knew reading NF books can be fun until Brij V. Lal's Broken Waves.

I didn't realize how much I enjoyed the book until I realize how much I enjoyed the book.

... hehe. don't you just feel like smacking me after reading that redundant line which I repeated to make a point... again... redundant... hehe....

My Standing Ovation

Location: Matheson Lib, Clayton.
Time: 10:21am

OMG, embarassing.

I walked out of R3 around 15 minutes ago with an amorous ovation from the crowd I hardly knew... wishing I have a bigger-er (coz I already have a comfortably big) hoodie, so that I can bury my head deep inside the deep hoodie, along with my embarasssment...

As usual, global indigeneity's class's on thursday, in Rotunda, R3. but today's just a little off... there's just something different, for some reason. Maybe it was Kane's bbday celebration yesterday night. anyways, I came into the Post Office early today coz Toan (the manager/boss/LPO) wanted to go and pick up his sis from somewhere...

I'm not a morning person, so naturally... everything is still a little hazy now....

I rushed off from the Post Office thinking I have this class.. I braved the wind and rain, and couldn't believe that I didn't bring an umbrella..... not exactly drenched but wet enough, I walked into the classroom, all the while thinking I'm 15 minutes late.

I opened the door... as usual, I would just lower my head... quickly spot the nearest empty spot and plant my ass on it. But my spidey receptors were sending weird vibes that I couldn't really comprehend at that particular moment.

Coz there's this guy who looked like my lecturer/unite coordinator Matt and this random dude giving the lecture. Well, it's not such a weird thing as we DO have guest lecturers who came in throughout the sem...

It first came to me when I didn't see Osmond or Chien Aun in the class.... Then it struck me that the guy who looked like Matt, is NOT Matt... like. WHOA... WAIT A MINUTE!

I looked at the class. muttered: "right..." with my pointy finger gesture acknowledging my stupidness and trying to use humor to cover my embarassment...........

So I left the class knowing that I brightened their boring lecture. I AM Soooo Important.... lol.

As I was leaving R3, I even heard someone shouting "Thanks for coming..." and waves of claps... for me.... as if thanking me for my awesomeness and coolness that radiates within me... yes.... it's what I tell myself to not make me look so bad.... lol.

anyways, I think it's the alcohol residuel from yesterday night, even though I didn't drink any... anyways... I do act like this even when I'm sober.... hmmm....

p/s: owh yea... Happy bday Kane. U're finally so eff-ing old =p and please stop reading my blog and using it to laugh at me...

Dumbass's Incompetence.

Location: Matheson, Clayton.
Time: 6:33pm.

Well it's you who walked yourself into this patch of quicksand, don't blame others for your current predicament. It's just that I can't believe that you'll have to lie to those you love... Dumbass, couldn't say I didn't see this coming.

Sowing what you reap is not fun especially what shitty crops you grew. fuck you and your incompetence... you're not that lucky to have someone to fall back to everytime you screw up.

Just hope that you learnt your lessons and not screw up MORE...

another monday morning.

Location: Matheson lib, Clayton
Time: 11:14pm

I'm waiting for my partner for Tara to show up as we agreed to meet up @ 11:30 to discuss about the CRI2008 presentation. crime. sex. violence. death. fun.

just wanna rant about my stupid iriver! my gawd. He's so being a prick and baby today. Maybe the reception in the library is sucky... all the white noise is so annoying... forcing me to twitch and tuen and try all the positions around my computer to find the best reception. damn the nice music on 103.5. It's like a moment I found the perfect place on the table, where the white noise's gone... then after a couple of seconds later, it'll whine and complain with the endless white bizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in the background, ruining the beautiful music. ISHHHHHH....

As if it's not bad enough, there's this gal who came in with this heavenly intoxicating chicken. MY GAWD. this is so making my numerous failed attempts to be aneroxic hard man. So not hungry yet so wanna eat. SHYT. Why do i love FOOD that much? Why don't I discriminate food?!!

So much ANGST in such an early morning... hmmm....

all them jeans.

Location: How!5, Clayton.
Time: 7:57pm.

haiz, I'm a doco, a major INT3055 assignment, a CRI presentation and a COM3165 assignment, and 2 INT3150 essays away from freedom... till exams I mean. Geez... can't wait..

yea... I just came back from the Melbourne Marathon. Couldn't believe that I wasn't running... don't get me wrong... it's fun cheering and being a part of the action... in some ways. It's just... no offense... but a plain waste of time? I should have volunteered for the Around The Bay thing.

anyways, I was putting on this pair of jeans and I couldn't believe it SHRUNK! Holy... like... really. coz I bought 2 pairs, of the same type, brand, right down to color... and when I was wearing the one I washed... WHOA, intense! Well, the good thing is that I am still able to squeeze in those jeans. but. just. not. spacious. hell.

... another strike on my shattering-confidence.

p/s: and yea Wai Chien & Rachel, last Friday wasn't funny... =~~ ( and yea....

pp/s: Happy 21st bday Booooobs~ u're my favorite left boob ever. unless u wanna be right... lol...

Now Everyone Can Fly... But I don't want to fly there.

Location: How5!, Clayton.
Time: 8:59pm.

Yesh, daylight saving's back.

Was planning to go to gym this morning but ended up waking up an hour late. IShhhh...

anyway, I'm torn.

I was so involved in planning the gold coast trip. All the while, imagining the view overlooking the warm golden sunset... Gentle cooling breeze caressing my face while digging my toes in the loose sand. I'm wearing something white and flowy, running across the beach while brad pitt running towards me in the opposite direction...

... If Only.

Now the chances of me doing that this year is almost close to nothing. Out of the blue, mommy "ask" if I wanna go for bro's graduation in Hertfordshire on 18 nov... which was the day that we plan to fly to Gold Coast.

... It's a pity, really, to not be able to go to this GC trip with u people... whom I find to be relatively pleasant (before I really know you people), undoubtably annoying (at times) and unbearably adorable (*awwwww*) circle of friends... In fact, I was pretty looking forward to sleeping on the same bed with the gals... hehe... *scandalous*

Hmmmm, come to think of it... 18 of nov is not a very good day for us. More than 10 years ago, ah gong passed away on that day... wai gong passed away on the same day in 2006... last year bro missed his graduation because of the stick-up-the-arses British high Comm people... and Kho Kaa's bday every year... hmmm...

So, instead of daydreaming about brad pitt (preferably him in Fight Club or Mr and Mrs Smith - minus Angelina) lying on Surfer's Paradise, I'm gona be freezing my arse off in London's Winter like so many WW1 & 2 soldiers did couple of decades ago...

More so, not only that I'll donate 156 dollars to the Tiger Airways already, I felt worse when I was booking my plane tickets to LHR. my gawd! so the expensive!!! It cost around RM4500 (return) to fly AirAsia from MELB -> LCCT -> STN... and it cost around RM5000 (return) to fly MAS from MELB -> KLIA -> LHR on the 14 of november and back on the 22 of nov. surprisingly, Emirates airline is not as expensive as I thought. It's around A$1900+ to fly from MELB -> DBX -> LHR seeing that MAS cost a little less than A$1900 to fly.

... and that's only my tickets...

Mommy said we might go to Paris...
